Imo unless you are doing it for fun/educational purposes, hosting a business website on a residential internet connection / home server is asking for trouble.

Most IsPs won't allow it these days either
Webhosting isn't that expensive these days plus its also written off as a business expense.

Find a decent webhost and concentrate on your core business activity

Nothing worse than customers calling up saying your websites down

    Just my opinon though

its fine m8 ..site doesn't get alot hits .. max is prob 20 .. and running adsl 2+ connection ...

Rang ISP .. they don't block any ports .. so seems something here on my pc blocking port 80 ... as I found need port 80 to work so the works without port number :1080 ... grr ! port forward in router/modem .. and windows firewall ...

    Port 80 is closed

    all fixed now !

Had only added ports in Exceptions in Windows Firewall !

but when checked in advanced -> Local Area Connection (settings) - > Services

Web Server (HTTP) was un ticked ! ..once ticked .. gain access to modem/router .. change port for router to 8080 and now url works without port number ! woohoo

    Gratz,

I'd advise you to put up an email contact form or java obfuscate the email address. Otherwise you're in for a load of spam.
