Default Azbox problem recording encrypted channels

I've got an internal Samsung 1tb 3.5" drive in my Azbox Premium and everytime I record encrypted channels there is pixelation every 30 seconds or so. But recording DVB-T is fine. Is anyone else having these dramas. This has happened on every firmware I've installed right up to the most current. I'm lost...maybe I'll change the drive over and see how it goes. If your setup works fine please let me know what drive and firmware you have and Ill give that a go.

I'm also using a DVB-T card and no issues recording on either source and definitely no pixelation. Do you get pixelation when viewing encrypted channels? If this is the case you're only going to be recording what you're seeing.

No viewing channels is fine. Only the recorded shows pixelate. Funny thing is that the time shift function doesn't do it. This is doing my head in. What hard drive do you use Leroy?

Hi guys have you resolved this? I just picked up an Azbox premium HD running 9.0520 fw I think.. (off the top of my head). I find that if I record a show, on any size media, FAT or EXT2 that the show will record, and playback on the device will freeze every 1-2 minutes then skip 10-30 seconds of the program, then continue. As if it didn't record those 30 seconds. It's like watching 2/3 of a program.

( I have tried 500gb usb drives, 8gb thumb drives, 250gb externally powered usb drive, FAT32 and ext2, I have let the device format the hd.... ALL react the same way concluding it isn't the hard drive).

To be sure it was recording and not playback, I moved the HD to a laptop, played the .TS files with VLC and they freeze in identicallly the same place.

I am unsure which CAS plugin I'm running, as I see several in the options menu and am new to the box.
