I have just purchased an F350 AUS GPS unit from Coles -the Binatone web site indicates the Australian company does not support the F350.
Can anyone tell me where I may be able to get maps of England and Europe. It has a micro SD slot to allow additional maps to be used, and it has a USB port. The Binatone gps units use NAVTEQ maps.
Look Here -> |
The Binatone gps uses Navteq maps, produced by Navevo Ltd . The info screen identifies Navigator(2.3.45.100111). Not sure if that is the map identification or not. The operating system is Microsoft WinCE.NET 6.0 Core Version.
Thanks. That link to the IGO8 Hollowman thread is fantastic!
Hi All,
I could be wrong,but I think the Binatone units use a version of Destinator,
Just my opinion,Igo8 is far and away a much better gps Navigation System.
Regards.
John
I am not sure about the f350. Older binatone units ran igo but now it looks quite different. prob destinator.
I just got one of these for my birthday. Had a little poke around inside using activesync. It turns out that it uses Navevo Navigator 2.3.20
Looking at the Speed camera info, it says my subscription ends 27 Aug 2049. Does this mean if I can find the right place to get the database files for the Navevo software I can use them?
possibly. You should keep an eye on pronav.com.au and bbnav.co.uk. The pronav being the truck version of navevo navigator (looks like the exact same software).
