Question DVD2Xbox - read fail error

I've got a couple games here that I can't get to back up onto the Xbox's HDD using DVD2Xbox. I've tried in both PAL and NTSC mode on the Xbox. Keep read failing and telling me to clean the disc and then try again. Any ideas?
It isn't the program as it works with every other disc.

waht version of dvd2xbox mate ?
when an error occurs and you cannot copy files you should be able to retry copying the dud files , keep doing this and you will probably notice the list of uncopyable files getting shorter

try filemanager in XBMC as its pretty failsafe!

    Please explain.
I can't find anything called Filemanager. There's a My Files option on the main menu, but I don't know how to use that to copy the game over.
Nothing in the Programs menu by that name.

Will depend on your XBMC version, but the later ones have filemanager and you can browse to the dvd in the rom and save to HDD.

BACKUP YOUR GAMES USING XBMC'S FILE MANAGER

Please note: This guide is intended to show you how to make a backup copy of a game you have purchased, not to make illegal copies of games you do not own an original copy of.

Ensure Game Disc Autorun is Off
First of all, if autorun for your games is not disabled, you will not be able to do anything but play your game when it is put into the DVD drive.

To turn autorun off, simply complete the following steps:
    1. Select "Settings"
    2. Select "System"
    3. Select "Autorun" on the left
    4. And finally, deselect Game Disc

    File Manager
Select "File Manager" from the main screen. You will notice there are 2 windows both showing a listing of your Xbox's drives.

Create a New Directory on your Harddisk
To create a new directory for your game complete the following steps:
    1. Select "F Drive" or "G Drive" on one side with the green (A)button, then select "Games".
    2. With the active selection still in the same window, press the white button, and select "New folder".
    3. Enter the name for the new folder, using the displayed keyboard. Then select "Done".
    4. Select the folder you have created, you should now be inside the empty folder.

    Copy The Disc Contents

    1. In the other window, select the DVD Drive.
    2. Press the white button, and select "Select all", the file listing should turn yellow.
    3. Now press the white button again, and select "Copy".
    4. Confirm you wish to copy the files and a transfer window will display, showing the progress. And that's it!
    5. To play the game, you may now select "My Programs" from the XMBC main screen, then select "Games". You will then see the icon for the game you copied.
