    Default ocx files on windows 7 ultimate

    Just tried to install a couple of programs such as FMCard and i`m getting a message about ocx. I cant figure out how to add these ocx file in win7ulti. Is it possible to get such programs working with win7??

    get the needed ocx files and paste them into your system32 folder
    dont say linux if i wanted it id install it

    I assume you have the ocx files folder with runme.bat also.
    Just right click runme.bat and Run As Administrator.
    They should then register.
    Even my Infinity programer had to be installed as "Run as Administrator"
    otherwise it doesnt detect device.
    You will find many tasks need to be done with this method.
    Its a Windows 7 thing.

    Please explain, no I dont have the runme.bat. Where do I get it or how do I make it.

    Just got the runme.bat and did as you said and all is still the same.

    -put the ocx files in your drive's root directory
    -for each file run the following command for example

    regsvr32.exe c:\mscomm32.ocx

    change the ocx file name to suit each ocx file and your done

    The module "c:\ocx\comdlg32.ocx" failed to load.

    Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or
    debug it to check for problems with the binary or
    dependent .DLL files.

    The specified module could not be found.

    Are you having trouble with registering the ocx files or running FMcard?
    If you have registered ocx then run fmcard as administrator also.

    All sorted out now, had to change my UAC setting. All working now.
