Its pretty much the same as KIS with a couple of new options. I will be reverting back to KIS as I have a licence for it and am using a trial of Pure. And the new options are probably not ones I would use.

I somehow managed to change my modems login page with the password manager the other night and wondered why I had no internet

Other than that it has ran fine on Win 7.

myf360f1, if you are looking for something cheap (free and so far at least reliable) , check out Microsoft Security Essentials..been using on Win7 for 4 months or so and seems to be pretty good.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy...

I havent used it myself but I havent seen a bad word written about it. It would have to be a better option than using something AVG.

Comodo also has some great free products here including Internet Security Suites

Hi Guys have been running it on one of my back up PC for about 2 mths actually since one of the mods here mentioned it. Yes very happy with it. I was looking for a trial program to clean up my Sister in laws PC then put MS essentals on it, so Kaspersky sounds fine.

    Thanks again

I have uninstalled and gone back to KIS. No problems or issues with Pure, it just has a couple of extra options but unless you are going to use them then KIS is probably a better and cheaper option. A description is below :

Kaspersky PURE is the revolutionary new way to ensure that your PC remains in tip-top condition. Its unique features and functionality have been specially developed to be straightforward for the home user to install and use, while providing exceptional protection:

    * Kaspersky PURE has ALL of KIS 2010’s tried and trusted functionality, plus a host of interesting new features
    * Full antimalware and anti-spam protection, including cutting-edge Sandbox technology for guaranteed safety
    * My Control Center allows centralized management of tasks, reports and updates, etc, from any networked PC
    * My Password Manager can create, encrypt and store logins, auto-complete forms and has an inbuilt virtual keyboard
    * Advanced Parental Control and monitoring of user’s Internet access, PC and application use and communications
    * File Shredder uses multi-pass technology to make deleted data unrestorable, even with sophisticated software
    * Data Backup & Restore assures your data’s integrity. Set schedules, restore points and select backup media
    * Data Encryption maximizes security. Create, store and transfer data in password-protected, encrypted containers

OK having installed KIS 2010, my thoughts are
    1) Very simple to use
    2) Nice interface
    3) Not resource hungry
    4) Not intrusive

I like it so far so its definitely a package worth using, much like my previous F-secure which was also good.

Maybe when they offer free upgrade to pure. For the time been, I will stick with KIS 2010. I had purchased a 3 years license and there's still a long way to go.

I installed Kasperski KIS 2010 the other week and cannot be more happy with it.
Very simple to install and then you just let it do it's work.
Three network intrusions it has blocked so far.

Sounds interesting. Have been using bitdefender for years but there is a bug causing the virus engine to stop working midway that they just couldn't seem to fix for us so may try Kaspersky for a change.
