Default TPG unlimited adsl2+ 24/7 for $75, what's going on?

Not long ago they changed all their plans, so I jumped on the 200gig/month 100gig peak/100gig offpeak for $69.99 which I thought it was an amzing deal, and now they bloody introduce a new deal $75 unlimited 24/7 and no shaping at all, what is going? is there a catch there?
I think this is an unbeatable deal.

    What do you guys think?

yeh, great new deals since they took over PIPE. I went from 200g from the last year to 150mb 4mb shaped and on April fools day to the new unlimited.
They'l make a bit in changover costs depending if your on contract or going down a plan (in $) too often. All clearly stated in the rules.

The PIPE issue and the imminent plans all covered on Whirlpool for last few weeks.

I think I'll be jumping on the unlimited for an extra $5 I don't have to worry about peak/offpeak. I can have utorrent running 24/7.

It's only about half the TPG ADSL2+ users/enabled exchanges that can get the unlimited plans. Your need to do a phone check to see if your eligable. If your exchange is not on the Pipe network then your out of luck and will not be able to get unlimited.

Yep, especially when the bastards are allowed to put in pair gain phone lines into suburbs where the houses are only 11 years old. I was lucky to get adsl1 even though my local exchange has adsl2+ capability.

And even more in non-metro areas that can only get it if we sell our souls to the great satan, Telstra...

I tried upgrading and it seems ok, it will go through on my phone number, but since I done a downgrade last month, I am worried if they charge $90 to move on to this plan, I guess I have to call them and get it straight with TPG before I do anything.

I have "3 prepaid" and "Next G postpaid" and alternate between the 2 depending on what speed I want at the time.
Looked at the satellite as it was under the broadband guarentee but went this way.
Cruel thing is close neighbour 120 Metres closer to the exchange than I am was connected by Telstra recently even though his DB reading is 60 odd.

Pointed this out and they just say stiff shit that he snuck through the system.

Hope I am around to see the NBN

It's more for a peace of mind for majority of people. Sure there will be mindless competitions going on "Who downloaded most"-type, hopefully there will be not many of them.
I can't get the unlimited in Melbourne (it's only in Sydney few exchanges only). My number was taken though by CSR () to give me an update when my exchange is connected to the PIPE.
