    Default Updating Firmware

    I have two Elvis programmers, one works perfectly with every card I throw at it. Through MultiProg 3.4-3.5 Utility V2.00 By TJ (TJ1965) 2007-01-24 the programmer identifies on power up as;
    MP 3.5 Firmware 1.7 Connected
    Serial No. 4480
    Flashdate2002 04 1912.24.27.055

    The other simply identifies through the same program as;
    MP 3.5 Firmware 1.5 Connected
    This unit will program a Goldie fine but very little else.

    I'm thinking that it's possibly a firmware issue.
    Is it possible to update the firmware on these units ??
    Thanks

    Thanks mate,
    It would appear that to achieve an update I need to send the unit back to the source.
    Thanks for your efforts but I think I'll just keep my eyes open for a 'newer' Elvis.

    Wink

    G'Day Cobber,
    Perhaps your second one is a clone.

    I purchased mine 12/02/09 and never fired it up as yet.
    Printing on board: Top - copyright (c) AD-TEKNIK AB
    and on reverse : MULTIPROGRAMMER, VERSION 3.5 990903

    Hope that clarifies if a clone or not.

    It may possibly be a clone.

    as you don't seem to be using it

    A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

    They're about AUD80 delivered direct from them, including cable and power supply.
    You can be sure about what you are getting.

    I just dug my old (Dead!,) Elvis out and checked what's written on the board.

    MULTIPROGRAMMER, VERSION 3.5 990903, and this was bought in June 2000, so it seems the programmer itself hasn't changed much if at all.
