    Default Pacific

Was any one else a bit disappointed with Pacific last night? I should reserve judgement but I think Band of Brothers is gonna be hard to top.

Guadalcanal was a pretty long campaign but they just seemed to breeze over it. I guess they only have so much time to put this to TV.

We are 5 weeks behind the States with this - this is different to Saving Private Ryan & Band of Brothers. It is (according to the writers) the story of 3 specific people blah blah blah. I have seen 4 out of 5 at the moment (without ads) and have enjoyed the different way it is portrayed.

Keep watching - even better Download it watch it without ads and straight through

You may start to enjoy it - and you are definately right Ram, Band of Brothers was / is the best and probably will remain that way for a long time to come.

    cheers

My thoughts also about BoB but I still enjoyed it.

Is was very happy with The Pacific last night and will continue to watch over the coming weeks. Though I didn't see much of Band of Brothers so I'm not in a position to compare the two.

Downloaded in H.264 and watched on a big telly...its pretty good.

Its done in a different way, so I find it hard to compare the two. The combat scenes are stunning...that beach landing in Ep5 was brialliant.

    Cheers

The fact that there's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven says a lot about the anticipated traffic flow.

    Yeah, agree 100%.

(It'll never beat the landing in Saving Private Ryan, but . Then again, I don't think anything ever will..)
