    Question HH and Multiswitch

I'm going to setup a multiswitch tommorow and am curious to know if this will effect my H-H Motor control?

    Standard Sharp Dual LNB
    Spaun H V in 8 out Multi

    cheers

    G'Day Cobber,
Problems are sometimes encountered depending on the version of DiSEqC that your box uses.
22KHz Switching for Universal LNBs are often a problem.
Tone control is usually sent in breaks in the 22KHz as illustrated below.
The only sure way to find out is to try it.

Kindest Regards, " The Druid ".

Having encountered this myself, I found the multiswitch will not pass on DiSEqC commands to the motor controller.
What you can do, and works quite well, is to wire the motor controller between your receiver and multiswitch. The drawback is that only one receiver can control the H-H.

Thanks for the feedback Druid (I'll need to go back to school to decipher it) but I appreciate the effort.

    Cheers

Yeah as soon as I hooked up the switch the motor control doesn't understand the commands

Can you give me a brief understanding of how to wire the motor control up between the switch and the STB.

    Many thanks

    You have tried:
Receiver --------- Multiswitch --------- Motor controller --------- LNB

Assuming the controller has an I/P and O/P:
Receiver --------- Motor Controller --------- Multiswitch --------- LNB

    My apologies Cobber,
Perhaps I left my reply open to interpretation.
You simply cannot have motor control via a Multiswitch from more than one box.
Effectively, whatever you do to control the motor, sets the Satellite and whatever channels are available on all the outputs instantaneously.
In brief, motor control via a MS for multiple boxes is not practicable.

Only want to control it from one box but require access to multiple boxes but it has a hissy fit when via Multiswitch when trying to move dish.....
