    Hi i have an action replay cartridge is there away to emulate a null modem or use the Virtual PC ports to able to upload and download codes from the cartridge

    you used to be able to get a card for the pc that would let you upload codes to an AR cartridge , however these are isa cards . . They were called a pc comms link card
    i do not know of any newer type slot cards that do the same thing .
    If you have the time and patience you can manually upload the codes via your controller , this is handy as you only need to put codes in that you want

    the Datel PSX Action Replay and clones use a PC ISA card with a non standard parallel port for programming (the data lines have been moved around as well as being 16bit compared to the standard PC LPT port)



    i've got one of these cards here somewhere

    i have 2 blue isa cards none of them seem it wants to pick up the psx unless you can show me what i am doing wrong i have an old compaq i am not sure shall i get an old intel machine like a 286 or something like that

    do you have the correct drivers and lpt cable that you need to attach the ar cartridge ?
    you do not attach the psx you attach the AR

    that disc you gave me will it have the drivers on it i ran the disc with xp but i cant to see them on there

    the drivers will be a *.inf file
    you may also have ot run it in 95/98 compat mode
