    Default Help with SD Card

I have a no name Chinese GPS bought from eBay.
The SD card that came with the device was empty so I was forced to download GPS appls and hopefully make it work. Since I don't have a SD card reader, I transfer the files via USB and ActiveSyn. The problem occur when ever I start/restart my GPS module menu. The SD card get completely wiped clean, for no reason. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Very strange. You could try setting the card to read only or "lock" with the switch on the side of the card.

I would suggest that you get yourself an external card reader. Activesync does not always update files correctly and it could be that the card is now corrupt. With a card reader you can always run chkdsk to confirm that the card is ok, and reformat if needed.
