mate, do yourself a big favour and send it to Mick at micksxboxmods). He's done my xbox1, xbox360, gamecube. He's the only one I'd ever send my gear to.

I have the same problem with those 3 lights of death and spoke with Mick over the phone and he told me that is not doing those repairs anymore.
I tried today to repair it my self and stuffed it up even more.Now i don`t have any video signal and still 3red lights...i think i broke or scratched some parts on the motherboard.
Called xbox australia for extended warenty and they want repair it cause it was opened before ....so people don`t do it your self if your not confident enough or not have enough spare time and try to rush things and then end up with a complete DOOR STOPPER

unfortunately it was modded when I bought it.....it only stopped working when I set it up in my new house....
It was working for the last 7 months NO problem.
just because its been opened up dont mean ms wont fix it...
I will fix them, BUT only as a last resort!
It often helps to say who you are when calling too! say you are an Austech member and you might be surprised!
As the ONLY sure fire way to fix them correctly is to have the new falcon motherboard installed!!!
M$ fix them regardless if it has been opened or not.....unless they have changed there stance now?? You could just say you opened it as it was out of normal warranty & though there may have been a loose cable...u get the jist of it......if you ring them & tell them its been opened then they will say its not covered under warranty, but if you say nothing & send it in, they should fix it....they go through them like hot-cakes...lol

most people i know that have sent an opened 360 too MS have had the thing repaired , only know of a few that had it sent back , they tried again and it got repaired second time around

yes...same hear, i called them up and they told me even if i send it to them they want fix it cause it was opened before and tempered with....but i said that i only tried to fix those 3 lights of death and they said regardless....opened NO fix....
so i just don`t want to pay for the postage for nothing
LMFAO u wanna no how dumb m$ are lmaoo a mate of mine i put a nme chip in for sent his in they sent him back a new motherboard and the nme chip was stil lattached to the casing behidn the dvd drive lmaooooo thank m$lmfaoooo
im sure they didnt see the green thing behind the dvd drive lmaoooo i was literally pissing myself laughing for days ahhahaha
