Because nobody looked at cracking their protocol yet, I assume.
I've been looking at a way I could do this for a long time and I'm wandering if anyone has any ideas?
I have a Nokia E75 which has WiFi, which I surf the net on in my lounge room if I'm lazy and don't want to go to my computer. Now I'd love to be able to connect the phone through the router and use Skype directly through the phone without the use of Fring and others alike.
There are WiFi phone available through Skype, so why can't we just download a program to the phone operating system to do the same thing?

have a look up pennytel there doing it already
Are you using VoIP through an SIP server? Fring works a treat for me, it integrates with Exchange if you have a windows mobile so all your phone contacts are directly accessible. Not sure how/if it works on iphones and the like.
skype is available for most phones. I have it on my win mobile HTC (fring).
You can get it for most nokias with wifi aswell - just not the e75 apparently.
I had fring on my N95 when I went overseas in June - August 2008. No worries
Yeah i have Skype on my Iphone and my Imate phone
I am sure both are using Skype software /apps both running on the wireless routers or 3G when i want it to
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
