What CAM for Topfield 4000PVR

I have a Topfield 4000PVR and an X-CAM that is not working well.

Can anybody please recommend a replacement CAM that will provide the maximum flexibility for the present and future. Also recommendations where to purchase?

Try and get hold of an Irdeto FreeCAM2-020.

It depends what you want it for....the older 2.09 Irdeto cams work fine with all Irdeto services including the mysterious " white card "

The 2.09's don't work with Austar sub cards though. Ditto the 2.06B's with original file.

Irdeto Freecam 2.20 suggested. I activated a SelecTV card yesterday with one.

Your Xcam should be good for BISS services.

If I remember correctly some 4.1 austar cards may work, but it depends if they are hit with something by austar or not. For 12 months my 4.1 chuckie worked, then one morning it displayed scrambled for ever more, put it in another box and pics, but scrambled in the toppy. my 4.1 spongebob never worked in the vanilla 2.06B. Cwispy freecammed my 2.06b and it takes anything, the stuborn 4.1 chuckie and previously non working bob, v5 austar and aurora, aurora goldie, aurora silver, whitey and smartwi clients.
