Unhappy NX-6v2 Alarm System Telephone Line Noise

    Hi,

I have a home alarm system, it is A GE NX-6v2 with 16 zones. It is the one with the leds. The problem is with the telephone line. From the moment i have activated my alarm to call and report events in a security company it always creates a noise in the phone line. How can i avoid that?

I have installed a telephone filter for the ADSL.

    Thank you

I have experienced this a bit with the NX Panels, not so much with the R Series Panels.

Try a different brand central filter.

When a different brand central filter wont work, we usually place a inline filter in the panel (make sure the filter works both ways). We have used up 3 inline filters in the panel to reduce the line noise.

I was sceptical of this advice, but from experience I can say it works.
