Hi guys i have a v7 ps2 brick and wanna "cheap and reliable" mod to install that lets me play my backup games what modchip would you guys recommend is a duo 3 anygood ?

how much experience do you have with SMD soldering? It might pay to have it done.
In most cases, inexperience usually costs more in repairs than to have had done professionally in the first place.
Tray just needs to be realigned by the sounds of it.
I'm all for someone having a go, but it concerns me that you are asking for a diagram as there's plenty of piccies on the web.
Postage from WA isn't too dear for just the console.
I have regular customers from Tassie, FNQ and WA.

Do you need a new drive or do you have an old one which can be repaired? I have a few lasers etc in stock and I think I have a couple of refurbished units on hand, though I would have to check they are working first.

lol no i need a new/working drive as my little (big) brother put his fist into the top of the xbox as the dvd drive was scratching his discs(hes a body builder as well) its cost him a new hd and dvd drive so far as i have tryed parts outa mine into his lol
Ok. Check out ebay, there are usually plenty going on there unless Mick or Oz or one of the others is able to help you out with the drive. When I get a chance I will check the ones I have here and see if any of them are working or repairable and let you know.

i interchanged all with the other 2 modded boxs i have and it looks like the hd and dvdrom was the only non surviors i tryed the 120gb hd in my pc slave and it showed it in devices but not in my computer
everytime i tryed to write slayers to it. it comes up with 07 error
