    Question sharing foxtel/dish

hi, i live in an apartment complex and the two either side (share common walls) both have a satellite dish. If i want to get 'aftermarket' pay tv do i have to get another dish installed or can u just run a cable and some sought of line splitter from next doors dish (which is pretty much 5 metres away from my tv area)

ps. next door says its fine by them if u can actually do it lol

more than one foxtel subscription using a single dish requires a dual LNB and dual feeds from the dish to a multiswitch, then the multiple Set top Boxes can be used.

Whats the purpose of a multi-switch when you are running dual feeds?
I thought you could run 2 feeds of RG6 from the dual LNB directly to the receiver (1 in each apartment)?

so what i would need is:

    1. Dual LNB $30
    2. RG6 Cable with F-type connectors $15
    3. Satellite Receiver with seller card $500

so i would connect the dual LNB to the satellite, then connect the cable to the LNB? and then connect it to the satellite receiver and it should work?
