dang didn't work
im trying to get bf2 going for him need a little help if anyone can pm ...
These are my old sites for Battlefield 1942 Patches and maps if they can be of help for anyone.
The 3fl site is one of my favorite servers
I'm still playing Battlefield 1942 nearly every night after years and years of being hooked on the game. You must have the incremental patches installed and also the Desert Combat patch and it is a must to play the game online.
Have got Battlefield 2 but it just doesn't seem to have the game play for me.
Hopefully Battlefield 1943 will be as good or if not better than 1942 and i might just move along

A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kick boxing.
My thoughts will be with the "Specs" of your pc. What are they???
Is it giving you an error message on either of them?
Which operating system are you using?
The more information the better, as for Bf2 they are up to Patch 1.5 or is it an installation error?

thanks gang
pick ill cheak out the stuff
pc specs
are window xp and 7
pc are both amd's
am2 2 gb ddr2 crap vid card
am3 quad 4 gb ddr3 8800gt
thats why i think it might be an amd thing
on the am3 quad 4gb ram 8800gt both game's should run flawlessly.
For BF2 make sure you run the game as admin aswell as the install .exe and also in compatability mode for xp service pack 3. make sure you have the latest drivers for your video card and your proccessor, also update direct x 9.
So once youve put the cd in go to computer then dvd drive and open folders, find the BF2.exe and right click then go to properties, click compatability tab and do as i said above, also do this for the 1.41 patch and the 1.5 patch and then the shortcut on the desktop. I think your main problem is outdated software(drivers, open al, directx, etc)
also here is a tweak guide for bf2, alsways good to read and may help in some way.
another program that may also help is a program called gamebooster, it will shut down all the background processors you dont need while gaming in a single click then when your finished simply return to normal mode.
