Well I got around it by creating one HUGE mapset in mapsource combining all the mapsets
about 2gb in size
still would have rather had 3 separate map files
Is it possible?
named maps as follows
2010 NT as GMAPPROM.img
Bluechart as GMAPSUPP.img
Traks4Aust as GMAPSUP2.img
OzTopo2.1 as GMAPSUP3.img
only shows the NT and Bluechart maps or
what ever map I name GMAPSUPP.img shows(so I can view Oztopo and T4A as long as they are named GMAPSUPP.img)
So it will only show anything named GMAPPROM.img and GMAPSUPP.img
and won't show the numbered maps
Anyone have any idea?

If you can't run with the DOGS, Stay on the Porch
you need an sd card for the 660
and its
the nuvi
2010 NT as GMAPPROM.img
Bluechart as GMAPSUPP.img
and you will have to combine these 2 for the sd card
Folder = GARMIN\?.IMG
Traks4Aust as GMAPSUPP.img
OzTopo2.1 as GMAPSUPP.img
or better still get rid of bluechart its useless on a 660 anyway

Yeah using an SD card
the NT map is gmapprom.img
the other combined map is on the SD card and called gmapsupp.img
And the 2010 bluechart works fine on the 660 since it will work without routable maps
even better on my 260 in 3D

yeah thats what i said
but your blind if you think bluechart on a 660 works fine lol
it does work kind of and yes i know i have a 660 and been there done that
but the detail is ordinary compared to say a 276c which is designed for marine and automotive use
the 660 don't show 100% the detailed map on water its limited detail
anyway where is my deep cycle batteries you can get lol
and if you want any solar panels kevy i can get
80 watt bp panels under $250 each there been in service only for one year then removed
there tested and tagged and they still have warranty left on em as these panels retail for $700+ new

I loaded up some topo maps onto the hard drive of my 660, how do I reverse this to free up some space please ?
(will now use SD card for topo)
BLA BLA, of course it won't work as good as a unit designed for it, and it doesn't seem to accept BC waypoints or tracks from a non Nuvi unit, but will keep POIs made on the Nuvi
But for a basic Marine GPS it works great, saves spending $500+ on a proper Marine GPS if you're a tight arsed Gemini owner

Call me on these last two issues
Parents may be interested in the panels since they are using Solar & Generator
Batteries I'm working on, gotta get some for the parents also

UMMM
plug it into your computer and delete them
You did back up your original map didn't you, so you can reload..... No??
check out the other posts on downloading the latest map
Oh and rename is GMAPPROM.IMG
that way it won't be overwritten if you load other maps from Mapsource
