Hello Nick, i am not sure about the iphone app you mention above, but you should make contact with ADI Global Distribution. they have 2 dvr's with iphone apps
Hi! All,
I’m currently trying to find a remote iPhone surveillance for a new CCTV at home.
I had done some research for the best iPhone app to get the job done.
These are what I have came up with:
EagleEyes-lite (free) plus (US$4.99) (Taiwanese company)
Seems to connect the fastest to the Demo Site in my research. Can control PTZ.
The video quality seems to be nice among the choices.
Supercam (free) (Seems to be Chinese)
Takes quite a long time to connect. Does anyone have better luck with Supercam?
iRa C3 (free) iRa Direct (US$499.99) iRa Pro (US$899.99)
The full versions cost WAY too much!! I don’t understand!
Also anyone familiar with this Push Notification thing with EagleEyes app?
They said it detect human and show the playback image in 5 seconds.
Does anyone have any experience in the above apps and DVR system?
I’m gonna install a system for my dad soon.
Nick

Hello Nick, i am not sure about the iphone app you mention above, but you should make contact with ADI Global Distribution. they have 2 dvr's with iphone apps
try the Central Security Distribution Pro AV series DVR's
they've got an iphone app! and the app costs nothing too!
the Pro AV's are on special this month too
Most professional DVR's now support iPhone/3G Smart phone integration and have free apps available for download. Some do it better than others though. I'd be asking to see a live demo before handing over your hard earned.
A friend downloaded EagleEyes and it wont work with his AVtech DVR. Repeated emails to the vendor and the one to Apple have gone unanswered.
It only cost $5.00 or so but I wonder how many people have paid for it and had it not work, got no support and just written it off as bad luck.
I think thats the issue.
Its a Jaycar unit which is a re branded AV tech 16 channel unit. i dont recall the model. EagalEyes picks it up and says its a 16 channel unit but thats as far as it gets.
The DVR works fine and works over the internet fine also just not to eagaleyes.
He was more pissed off by the total lack of response from the vendor or istore.

Pacom have an app as well. Has anyone else here used it? What is a DVRNS and how does it work?
I've only seen the early version of the Pacom iPhone app and it's rather basic. Pacom are quite slow at issuing product updates so I don't expect it's changed much.
DVRNS usually DDNS is a dynamic DNS service to get around the need of having static IP addresses. Some DVR manufacturers provide the service free of charge. Those DVRs usually have a function in the menu that activates the service and displays a URL with which to access your DVR instead of your external IP. That way, when your IP address changes, there's nothing to change in your remote access software.
Some companies have a different idea with how it should work though and their DVRs don't automatically update the DDNS server with your external IP. Other manufacturers that don't provide a DDNS server allow you to manually enter the details of third party DDNS providers.
i can even suggest this to my client for that.
since i have not seen it, but it would be wonderful application
