    Default Austar on a laptop

Hi is there a device that will allow me use my austar card on my laptop.

I imagine it might need to be usb or perhaps express card. I know i could use a capture card and hook that up to a standard set top box.

    Thanks.

I've just been down this track. Im in far western nsw most weeks with no telly. I got a 80cm dish on a tripod with a 12v strong box. I bought a PCTV usb digital/analogue tuner card, with av inputs.

I connect the decoder to the av inputs to watch it on my laptop.

    Hope this helps.

thanks Gonz i knew i could do it the way you have suggested i guess i was also looking to see if there was a way to cut out the need for a box and av input and just go straight to a express card cam or something like that.
