    Default DM7020 & HDD Question

    Hello,

I have noticed lately that the HDD in my 7020 is spinning more than before.

I am not recording, Time Shift is disabled and I have Oztivo EPG storing on the HDD.

I sometimes hear it wind up in the wee hours of the morning but now it appears to be going all the time?

    any ideas?

    Thansk

with the epg on the hard drive it will constantly be accessing
why not put epg on a cf or usb ?
plenty of room for it on even a small one.

i store mine on the internal flash memory
made an epg folder inside the var folder and directed oztivo config to var/epg
    works good,
i only use 3 days giude so the epg.db wont get to big and stays below 5mb

    Update.

I have set up the oztivo system to write to the CF card /media/cf, it apears to do something because the file /media/cf/epg.db and the epgchace folder get updated each day, however the file /media/hdd/epg.db also gets updated but earlier than the CF version, eg, at the moment, cf version has a 22nd June attribute, hdd version has a 23rd june attribute.

I edited the /etc/tuxbox/dbepg oztivo_au.cfg & oztivo_au.txt files to reflect the /media/cf usage, is there another config file I need to edit to reflect the CF path?

    Thanks for your assistance.

    regards
