Anyone on here done work with Facebook applications? I am working on an idea that is sure to smash it in the facebook world, got an ad on freelancer but thought I'd share it here before giving the job to someone in India.

Applications are generally run on facebook to data mine peoples accounts and their friends. There are some serious dollars to be made.

More than 400 million active users
50% of active users log on to Facebook in any given day
Average user has 130 friends
People spend over 500 billion minutes per month on Facebook
More than 70 translations available on the site
About 70% of Facebook users are outside the United States
There are over 160 million objects that people interact with
Average user is connected to 60 pages, groups and events
Average user creates 70 pieces of content each month
More than 25 billion pieces of content shared each month

With statistics like those, you could make a killing with the application to reach as many of those users as possible.

yea there's two approaches -
selling data mined - when user installs app and allows you to take their info
ad/+fb credit revenue for ingame services and etc

but facebook also has a set of rules that it sets about some data that you collect

but i think a year or two ago was the *prime* time. zygna and etc have taken it. .you've missed the boat!
