I am also using ios 4.

you can test the first line by placing it in you browser (another computer on your network) and press enter. - you will find if it is right it will change the channel on your dreambox.

if that does not work check that you do not have user name/password entry enabled on the web interface.

Does anyone have the delayed audio problem as well?

Yeah first line works by putting it in the browser and it changes the channel. However at not stage when i run air video on my iphone does it change channel. Oh well i think i will have to leave it for another day.

- copy channels.ini to your PC in the directory where you installed the Air Video server (e.g. C:\Program Files\AirVideoServer) and if you use a Mac copy it to the root directory (in "/")


Make sure your channel.ini file is in the right location note that on a Mac it's in the root directory, make sure the mp4 thumbnail and the entry in channel.ini have identical names.

Yep done all that. Im using pc have file channels.ini in the proper location as you have suggested. Channel names match correct thumbnail name. still when i click live conversion it seems to only play the short mp4 clip and do nothing else.

great news i have got it to work. Im not sure what the problem was i just thought i would try everything again so something simple must have been wrong and now its all working. Now all i need to do is play with the settings to optimize the picture quality. What settings have others used and found it to stream nicely. Anyone successfully doing it over 3G?

What is the difference between the free and purchased client?

The difference is that you will see all channels in the iPhone TV list up as you have them in the air server config.ini file for a purchased client.

The freeware has a random selection so if you have more than 4 channels listed and you need to refresh alot to select the channel you want

Also I am finding audio is delayed ... ?

its all good i got it going now, sometimes while watching the stream it pauses and says loading movie, di i have to change the stream bit rate ?

I found with bouquet editor suite that if you have option delete under airvideo switched on it fails... Good to delete but then remove setting and try again..


Also anyone know why HD wont stream... Starts then stops after 5sec

When you first fresh your list and the picons load up on your iphone.. Does anyone know where they are cached?

I find if I create the channels.ini and video files I get the iphone reloading the list with new icons in its list and all works fine..

Sometimes the the iphone displays invaild and I have to totally recreate the channels.ini and video files to get it to refresh.. There must be some cache kept somewhere but I cant find it...Anyone?

Open "finder" on your Mac, near the top in the lefthand pane you will find the Mac partition in my case it was named Snow Leopard by default. Click on this and place channel.ini in the pane on the right.
