    Default PC connected to internet network and DVR

    I have a single PC on ADSL internet, the network settings are obtain IP address automaticly.

    I also have a Ness Dvr with the following network setup options
    IP address
    subnet Netmask

    Prior to the PC being replace the DVR was connected.

    The PC and DVR sit next to each other and their are no other PCs connected.

    What should changing to allow connection

    If the DVR has a web interface, enter the it's IP address into the web browser of your PC. You should then be presented with a prompt to enter a user name & password. Your browser may also prompt you about downloading & installing and Active-X control.

    The only change as such I'd make is to set the IP of the DVR manually. That way it'll never change in the event of a power failure.
