    Default DM600PVR - Need Advice

    Hi All,

Ok, i am setting up a dm600pvr for a mate, it has gemini 4.2 for that model and what i am trying to do is set up aur*** on it.

My problem is that i have copied over a ppua file (from my dm518) to the scce folder of the dm600 but no pics/audio, have waited overnight and today for it to kick in, but no go.

Is there something else that i need to do for this model?

***tel works with blue no problem, just no encrypted aur***.

aur*** info channel and nitv all good.

    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

    cheers

Did you also install the newcamd config file?

You also need to copy across the 'Keylist' file thats in your 518's scce directory.

yep - i did copy over the keylist and ppua to the scce folder in the 600, didnt go up.

am i doing something wrong here, admittingly, i am treating the 600 as if it a 500.

    Files should be in /etc/tuxbox/scce

Also, have you double checked that you are running necamd for these channels and not the deault cam like cccam?

Sorry but that's exhausted my knowledge on the subject matter. I set my 600 the same way as you did using files from my 500 so I can't understand why it doesn't work. The only difference is that I'm usi Pli Jade 2

that sounds like a good plan - trash G4.2 and go with pli2

    Yep - all good now.

gemini was the issue - fuc*** it off and put in PLI jade3, fired up without issues straight away after i transferred, yet again, my ppua and keylist from my 518.

Now to tell the mate gemini is a P.O.S.

    thanks all.

    cheers

But this is as far as i get, when i telnet into it, newcamd is not present, as if it has not started at all, as a result i get no pics, newcamd is set as default cam, and i have followed the above steps carefully, i have tried crond settings but it makes no difference.

    Any ideas?

Hannible, I assume this was running fine until recently. My tip is to save your ppua file on your pc somewhere. Reimage the box.... then reinstall newcamd and ppua.

You can spend many hours trying to understand why these things happen, when the quickest way to the end sometimes is to start at the beginning.

    I agree florra
I had a ppua that stopped working - took me ages - and lots of help in here
in the end it was a full file system and logs, key files couldnt grow anymore etc
so a reimage would have fixed it ..rather than the days I spent on it..

also if your ppua is going thru a windows box .. dos2unix is your friend to ensure its back in the right format

What other files are needed to be inserted in the scce folder on the 600, other than ppua and keylist?

    cheers
