I had posted a similar thread previously but no matter i tried nothing worked so i left it till now and im keen to get it workin again thanx
There are 2 things you can try
Update your graphics driver ( which i reckon you have).
Update your motherboard bios even if its beta. Being an asus motherboard they have an update program that you can run with in Microsoft OS, really easy. Tip switch off your av when updating bios.
if your not gaming
remove the nvidia drivers package & just let the os install what it wants
or you could try a earlier driver pack from
try mine
copy to c windows system32 drivers
overwriting the original file

i followed the instructions above and overwriting the original file but no go still crashes
ok back to scratch
go to nvidia.com & get lastest drivers for 8xxx series.
uninstall yours from control panel, delete the nvidia folder in c\ drive also.
reboot
run new driver pack, reboot> no work?
uninstall them, & delete the folder
reboot
go to windows update, install the driver it says for graphics
reboot > no work?
run vista repair from cd\dvd
or
clean install > no fix? >
get a new card
