    Default Microsoft Security Essentials

Thought I might post it up as it is a good free option for people that dont want to spend any money on security software.

When installing, it will verify the validity of your Windows installation before installing. I am using the Windows 7 loader and it passed validity no problem.

This is the Vista/Win 7 version. Just under 7 meg so not a monster download.

Been running it for a while now on a lappie.

Seems to get on with the job quietly.

    regarding security performance are sound.

Have been running it on 4 PC's/ Laptops, for a couple of months, no issues and it does pick up most of the nasty stuff
On the MS website, there is a version for XP as well (a bit resources hungry on XP).

    Cheers.

Have been running it on all the PC's in the house, I think it was Fernbay who mentioned it a while ago and jumped on then.

    Good reminder though Sanity

@baseel I only run XP and disagree that it is resource hungry, I find it OK mind you I also run Avast too.
