Question Adding 2nd HDD to Xbox1

Is there any methods of adding a 2nd HDD to an Xbox 1 to increase the space? I'm looking for a method that is able to utalise both HDD's at once, I've seen other methods that only allow 1 HDD at a time.

It is a limitation of the IDE Controller (In fact all IDE controllers i believe) that only 2 devices may operate on the 1 channel at any given time. in this case, the DVD and HDD.

You would be able to run 2 HDDS with NO dvd drive with no problems.
You might even be able to put them on a 3 position switch (1st hdd + dvd player, 2hdds, 2nd hdd + dvd player)

Someone with more knowledge of the console than me will need to explain the BIOS side of this connundrum But there is the Hardware side of things explained.

as Jalorathis has said, it can be done, BUT can only be done via a switch to select the HDD you wish to use.

The power supply also isn't able to support 2 X HDD's at once as is only 85W

Do a search for an extender case and you will see how it can be done nicely.

Yeah, I was looking at the Extender case.
What about having it so that 2 HDD's are running, and you switch 1 HDD off in order to use the DVDrom?
