    Default DM600pvr - Recording Problem

    Hi All,

Ok, i am still having minor trouble with this dm600pvr.

Trying to get it to record 1 channel and watch another on the same transponder - all i get is a blank screen after recording.

    DM600pvr
    Pli Jade3
    Newcamd6.10 (set as default cam)
80gb hdd (formatted by the unit is good to go)

    gone into softcam setup - have check marked the options;
    1) Auto reconnect CAhandler
    2) can handle two services

I can get it to watch a channel and record that channel no problem - now just trying to get it to watch 1 while recording another on the same transponder, is the problem.

    Any help is appreciated.

    cheers
    hannible

The DM 600 has got only one tuner. You will a box with a dual tuner.

    Hi Sasho,

I am lead to believe that the 600pvr can actually record on 1 channel and watch on another as long as it is on the same transponder.

Granted a dual tuner will let you do the same thing irrespective of transponders that you are watching/recording at that time.

    cheers

Hi Hannible. You are correct that it is possible to record one channel and watch another on the same transponder. I can confirm that it doesn't work though using ppua and newcamd.

I assume its because you can only decode one channel at a time with the softcam keys.

Not that I'm aware of. There are smarter people here than me that may able to help you, but I'm pretty sure that you options are limited.
