    hey LR

go to for all the firmware for your carts. The TTDS has the TTDS folder and TTDS.dat and Games in the root of the memory card. The R4i is pretty well same, just make sure that your DSi's are V1.3E or less. If you have a 1.4E then you need to choose a cart that is able to ignore the anti-piracy that Nintendo have devoloped - eg M3 Zero you need to flash first, then create a "Games" menu to place the games into

Not to hard, just a bit of mucking about

    cheers

If it is working - dont worry - I don't, but you do have to create a "Games" folder in the M3 Zero

Yes, that's right...each Cartridge firmware has it's own setup... with the Acekard 2 you just dump them in the root directory...some others require a games dir.

Also checkout Moonshell if you like...it's a video player for the DS....works really nice, the only bummer is you have to convert your avi etc to a specific file type for the player...

But a cheap video player for the kids in the car...

Good work with the moonshell stuff and already converted movies. It will keep the kids occupied for hours..

I have converted my own avi files and it takes as long as the movie plays to convert it!...anyway that was a while ago...maybe things have improved since..that was back with my old P4...maybe faster with my new super computer..hehe

Freakee, my flashcart is an R4i sdhc upgrade V1.4 and my nieces DSI is 1.4A. I'm just looking at the downloads link and i'm not sure which firmware i should use ? I'm trying to get the card setup for her birthday without having access to it to try it out.

When you buy a cheap budget clone "r4" your best bet is to find the software on the website which would be printed on the box / cart.

There are 100's of "r4" each running different software, which are all incompatible with each other.

These are also not updateable so when the new Nintendo DSi system menu comes out, you'll need to chuck em out and buy a new one

if it is a real r4 then hit the web address on the cart

if not then I went through about 5 different os' to get my clone r4's working
found that the Englist 1.18 () was the one that worked for me

but mine are cheap arsed fakes

    This is what i meant,
As far as im aware, no such thing as a "real R4" since 2006, all just clones, a dime a dozen.

Linfox is a great site, but if you are unsure which firmware to use, just stick to the "official" website listed on the cart.
