Default Garmin Streetpilot C510 PIN problem

    Hi,

A friend has been given a old GPS from work. (they have a bunch of them which get loaned out to various people) Its asking for a PIN. abit of a search reveals that it needs to be rest by garmin, or go back to the security location? since this probably has been sitting around in the work cupboard for months and months and the person that would have this is data is no longer with company.

Is there any way to force a reset. Or is the only option to send it too Garmin.
    Dont know alot about GPS's.

    Thanks PUCA.

I think, he'll just throw it out. he has inbuilt in car. but thought he might give this to his mother. Its a shame as it was legitimately purchased by company, for use by workers, but because of personal turnover/changes/relocations the pin/sec location is unknown.

    oh well.
edit: ps for the record it has been sitting in work cupboard for 11 months!
