    Default DS Lite Power problems

    Hi All,

Got a DS Lite here that wont turn on, Only sign of life is that it flashes once when charger is connected and turned on, Other than that its dead as a dodo. Ive checked the battery (OK) and the two fuses on the mobo (OK) and have checked ribbons & clips etc (Also OK) There was a slight sign of some moisture (marks etc) on the underside of the bottom screen and on the mobo when I lifted the bottom screen from the board. Gently dried it all off and tried again but still no luck, Still dead. Could be a fried mobo but was wondering if anyone else had any ideas, Does belong to a customers 5 year old son so it may have gone for a dunk in the bath or been out in the rain possibly, He doesnt know? Moisture was not excessive and was only slight but as we all know moisture and electronics arent a good mix, Any other ideas please before I chuck in the towel?

    Thanks .

Could well be a dead lcd screen, or simply that one of the LCD ribbons not being fully inserted.

if its moisture related i've had some success baking the pcbs at very low temperatures (50 degrees or so) for an extended time (days, weeks) depending on the size and type of pcb/components

    otherwise have a read here
