Default Which Dreambox would be simular to the Foxtel IQ box

hi i have both a dm500 and dm600pvr, the picture on the IQ looks crystal clear and when recording on the dm600 the recording hangs and you miss a bit then works again this fustrates me when watching footy as it is always when a try is scored, was thinking of upgrading to a better dreambox style. thanks in advance for your advice

I wouldn't think any would be. I had a DM600 and was very happy with it's PVR performance. Maybe look at reimaging with PLi and give it another crack.

Maybe try an Enigma 2 box (like the 800 or 7025).

IMO, the DM-7025 is the closest match to the iQ1, and the DM-8000 is the closest to an iQ2 HD. They both have 2 or more tuners and internal storage, plus they're very stable.

DM8000 is the way to go, I noticed the lockups on the Dm600 as well. Since I got the 8000 no issues at all.

Just to be clear, if you 'just want to watch TV' then the foxtel IQ box is your best choice.

If your a hobbyist who enjoys playing, experimenting, and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty with hours of research and learning, then dreambox is the way to go. Your budget (or bean counter / minister of war & finance) will determine if a dm5xx, adm600 or a dm800 is best for you.
