    Default Lenovo X60 Bios crash

    guys and girls,
I got a corporate PC and decided to blow all corporate crap off it and make it normal everyday notebook. It has a docking station which has CD and 10/100 connector on it.

Anyway blew hardisk, reformat it and installed XP, Office etc. The 10/100 LAN was working OK but the 802.11 wireless lan was not working. So in my efforts to get it all going decided to run Windows Updater..It looked at all the chipset and installed hardware and was to go "out there" to the web and get all the latest drivers etc.

Well it started doing its thing when it asked for the BIOS upgrade and ofcourse I kept on clicking YES..
Not really sure how far it got but it then simply got a blank (black) screen.

PC no longer starts. it has the battery, power light on, it tries to start CD but nothing happens.

Has anyone had any experience with this scenario?
Basically I believe i need to restore BIOS so that PC can complete it s startup. There must be a recovery mechanism.
Any pointers how to get it to kick over????

    Thanks guys!!

    Say Hey!!!

With a quick search I found this on the Lenovo web site "hxxp://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-63145.html"

I suggest you read fully and understand before you proceed.
The download produces an .iso file. You will then have to burn it to a CD.
    Good luck

I guess the updater hasn't completed the job and your bios is corupted.
