Default Does anyone have CS withUltraplus 9000hd

Well some 3 months down the track I wish i hadnt bought this box .
It is a great box to work with very user friendly operation except when it comes to CS .
I have tried every firmware available, mixed and matched with all sorts of xcam, mgdcam and It will not cs with a remote server.
I have a dm 600 pvr running next to it on the same server with no probs so it has to be the firmware / cam combination ( or the operator)

    HELP !!!!!

Can anyone give me the correct combination ??

    Cheers,
    Ramp

The F-9000 is esentially the same as the 980HD. I bet it's a configuration issue. Can you post your xcamclinet config file?

I prefer to edit the xcamclient.cfg file directy via ftp.

What you do is you punch in your details in the xcamconfigure plugin. You do this by highlighting it in the plugin menu and pressing the green button.
Once you have put in all your details you exit out and you need to start the xcamclient. If you put in all the correct details it comes up with a message saying 'install complete'. If not then you haven't put in your details correctly as it hasn't connected to the server.

It all looks ok and it's pretty straight forward. Like I mentioned above, I prefer to edit the file directly as I can see exactly how it should be in the file. But in saying that it shouldn't make any difference how you enter the details.

    Default Still a problem

Tks for the input Leroy. It still is a problem with this box
It has twin tuners but wont record on tuner 2 despite having two seperate feeds from a twin LNB.
ATM with the firmware I have loaded which is the latest on the site and the Xcam set up I published above , as soon as you programme a recording it freezes .
I dont think it is a crap box I think the firmware is crap .

Seems funny mine is as it is and above nofica above saying he has CS with no glitches??

Maybe we could have a post with the set up

Maybe a VU + Duo is the go .
What a waste of money !!

    Cheers

I'm not sure where you purchased if from but maybe you could ask for a bit of help there?

I think you need to try a bit harder. I'm sure a Vu duo works the same hence you would have similar issues.

What card are you trying to CS? Maybe it's the card that has anti CS counter measures?

I've played with the same box and have flawless recordings. Maybe forget about tuner one and concentrate on tuner 2. Can you record on tuner 2 at all?

But I'm sure you can go wrong if you don't have the thing set up correctly which I reckon is the case in this situation.

How does a Vu duo go with anti CS countermeasured cards?

Does the Vu duo 'tweak' ?

    Default still freezing

Leroy I bought it from Freeview NZ and Jack over there has been working his ass off to get it going but if the firmware is crap it is a prob. It only recognises the second tuner if the station lock is on another sat in the list believe it or not . So you have to load a dummy sat say USER2 and then load all the channels again ( so you have 750 of them in the list ) and you have to ensure your recording is on the second set of channels for tuner 2 or it doesnt work !
    Jeez !!
The oldest Relook I had was using 2 tuners 10 years ago.

Until someone comes up with some rational firmware it is just a one tuner PVR at a 2 tuner price.

I don't think I understand what you're saying. You initially had a CS issue and now you're saying it's a tuner issue?
So when you are saying a station lock you mean an active sat?
I had my C-Band dish in one tuner and Ku in the other and I found it to work really well. I haven't a box here to try at the moment as I shipped the last on Monday.

I am loading Tuner 1 with Ku, and Tuner 2 with C band; "separated".

Naturally, the loaded channels of each band are shown when OK on remote is pressed.

    * Sometimes, when going from a C band channel to a Ku one, the unit won't change tuners (T1-T2), (or vica versa). But typically does so. When it does lock, switch off then on helps.

I suspect the Positioner drive >>E-W<< is northern hemisphere:-)

An update to this issue. I bought the box off Rampant1 as need to have a box to try firmware and plugins etc on anyway. I've put on the latest firmware 1.08.34 (now this isn't perfect as it has a blindscanning bug. 1.08.37 is being tested now for the UltraPlus viewers out there) and I tried the xcamclient released earlier in the month (octaCAM__CS_CCcam_Multi__11082010) and perfect pictures. But if I recorded a channel and went to the second tuner to watch a channel I got pixelation.

I loaded the Mgcamd plugin and I can not only watch one program without pixelation I can also record 2 channels at the same time!!

    Cheers,
