Default Legit fox card in non fox stb - Another noob question!

Evening all, I tried to put my legit sub card in my hummy 5410z and it didn't work. So off to the forums I trot and find that it won't happen, I couldn't however find any info on a box that will work. Is there a easy solution? (aside from getting another fox box). Thanks.

The Humax has an irdeto (a type of encryption) cam and doesn't accept NDS (a different type of encryption) cards, which is what Foxtel uses.

My understanding is that a dreambox will work. I have never used one so i can't really help with that.

Coops - I know austar will open on a humax with original firmware, but I reckon you would need a cam in your hummy

Does anyone know a reputable supplier for the dragon? Do I need to order from overseas?

    SatTronics have them for $175.00

Make sure your Humax has CAM slots first! Some of them have two below the card slot (IRCI-5410z I think?). I have 2 Hummies and both of them are IR-5410z's - no CAM slots

This T-REX V 4.01 CAM, can you put it straight in the humax slot and & insert blue card & get pictures without any modifications?

From memory you would have to modify the software on the T-rex to recognise the NDS caid for Foxtel, as the caids are preset to the euro ones. Also I believe that this cam wont auto update the card and you would have to re insert the card into the official box every now and then. It would cost the same to buy a dreambox 500s clone and not have these problems.
