Show my PC / Remote Desktop

My mate is going overseas and he wants to access his work computer
While away
I can't get access to his router to forward any ports which you need to
setup windows remote desktop
So I know there is "show my PC " that lets someone at the work computer to
generate a key and give that key (by phone or email) to the remote user
to able them to get access the work computer

Is there another program that works just like show my PC but where he can access the computer with out any one there, but does not need any port configuration

I think there's something called PCAnywhere aswell.
But I've never used anything like this so sorry can't advise you.

Yep PC Anywhere it is, Has to be setup on both PCs
