DM800 clone - BL #76 Sim 2.01 - Best image

Evening gents,
Let me first caveat this post by saying I have searched both the forum and the web and come up with nothing.

I have recently purchased a clone DM800 with boot loader #76 and sim 2.01. What is the best (read most stable) image available at this present time. I have read the the Nabilosat image is very good but that was late last year. What are my options as of July 2010?

I don't use it for anything strenuous, just as a client to a Bluey, maybe a little recording and that is it. I've read that some images run the box hotter than others....is this still the case?

Any info would be much appreciated, if you have a Aussie image available for download, that would be great too!

CoopsOz. Different images all have there pros and cons so it all comes down to personal choice. My advice is to stick with the image that comes with the box unless there is something in particular that you dont like about it.

Gemini 4.6, 4.7 is pretty much bullet proof. The HD on PLI is ugly. Nabliosat is good but
I have never gelled with their menu layout.

If you have sim 2.01 run hacked version of dreamelite that has SS76a on it then load any of the latest ORIGINAL images in USB using meoboot.

+1 for nabilosat blackhole. I like its menu myself and standard feature set. If you dont like it change to something else. Newenigma 3 and LT are worth a look also.

HD on my dm800 running PLI is crisp and clear. As with any clone, YMMV.

I've never run nabliosat, does it have the progress indicator on the channel list like PLI?

I ended up going with open PLI. I wasn't happy with gemini or dream elite due to my inability to find anything. Open PLI seems to have everything where it is supposed to be.

I flashed the unit with Black hole hyperspace due to the claim that it is faster than any other image. All is good but I can't find where to change the skin, I can download them but damned if I can install them. Anyone have any ideas?
