IF IT DONT WORK USE A BIGGER HAMMER
As u only need one location at a time why not run the rf output (modulated TV) only to the bar. You'd have to change channels in the main viewing area or simply set up an IR link.
You'll need to install a dual lnb to view both polarities at both locations. With the splitter you must watch the same polarity (channels) in the main viewing area as the 'slave'.
The UEC shud work ... but as puca said ... don't bother.
With a dual LNB and the UEC set up in the bar all you woulkd have to do is remove the card and slot it in the required decoder.
It works fine...i have done it a couple of times before.
Cheers
thanks for the replys guys i forgot to mention that its for a 50' plasma and wanted to run it on svideo as a min and its in a detached garrarge.
I guess i may of stuffed up the settings on the uec dsd660 when i was trying to set it up as i could only get aroura when trying to set it up in the location of the current working sub box after a factory reset befor that i got nothing. I had just asumed that it was to out dated for ird2 and gave up
Have you tried a wireless av sender? Dick Smith Electronics sells them. It just sends the pics from the original box to the other tv.
When setting up the 660, disable the HOME SETTINGS on SIGNAL 1.
Enable SIGNAL 2 to Aurora details 12407 etc.
Enable SIGNAL # to pay details 12558 etc
Do a rescan
Should work
