Thumbs up WiiMc finally a decent media player for the wii

Just thought id let people know if they've after a good media player for the wii and havent been looking for the last few months to give WiiMc a try.

Ive been using this for a few weeks now and im pretty impressed.

It's no xbmc but it's the best and easiest to use media player ive tried on the wii. I havent set up the network sharing yet, Im just playing files from a fat32 usb hdd and it's been working fine.

another question....is there a way to put these homebrew apps on that wii start screen instead of having to go into the homebrew channel ?

I dont think it will do h264, I havent any files to try but 480p is the limit of the wii, so i doubt it unless it can somehow downscale or there encoded at low res and bitrate.

Wimc channel installer is what you want to put it on your start screen.

If you have trouble getting a usb hdd recognised throught the channel install ios 202 aswell.

Can also use a forwarder to add homebrew apps to the home menu.
