I have the Z700
I don't use the Kodak software (its a pain in the ass)
Uninstall all the kodak software.
Just use windows to download the photos
When i connect it however, it says "cannot get device information" so i don't think its got anything to do with EasyShare
Get rid of it and buy a canon.
Some people need to get their finger out of their arse so that the brain can get some oxygen"
lol, not much of a help...
roosta Is your computer real slow to boot
I have seen that so many times with the Kodak software
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
when using the usb cable and it's asking for drivers point it to windows32 folder all drivers are in there, that might fix your problem
you shouldn't need a driver for it windows has a built in one
Have you tryed a different usb port
Every USD port, which works fine, still FAILS to connect the device...The drivers are up to date, yet it has a "!" mark on the icon in the device manager when the camera is connected. This is a load of shit...
have you tryed it on another pc ?
can u take the memory card out and read that instead?
treble
I had the same problem. Overcame it by selecting items from cd one at a time and installing separately, restarting computer between installs.
OK:
My lappy is not slow to boot, but i guess if you wanna call Vista slow compared to XP, then yeah...it can be annoying. But nothing out of the unusual. It's a new pavillion laptop anyhow..
YES - Have tried the PC on another computer w/o Kodak software and YES, it does work using camera wizard..so that tells me the USB cable works fine and the camera aint busted...so WHAT THE HELL could it possibly be with my laptop then??
treble: don't own a card reader, i honestly havent been bothered to buy one when i already own the essentials of the kodak camera, so only want to troubleshoot it this way.
rosco99 - please tell me what you did, what camera are you running, what OS do you have? do u know the version of easyshare you are using? The NEW prog i downloaded came directly off Kodak's site specifically FOR Vista..yet it still doesnt help...and there the f*** is this camera wizard that should be popping up?? Vista really tops the shitlist of software on a machine...
I don't have a problem with Vista.. I have never installed the kodak software and I havn't had a problem with getting the photos of the camera (in XP of vista)
Vista Home 32 bit?
top
I have tried it on Vista Business and Ultimate 32bit also XP (never with the kodak software)
i have the same problem, easy share works on xp but not vista, windows pulls the pictures though
