If i didn't have the xbox 360 ultimate sega collection I would buy one to bring back my old memories.
Has Alex Kidd. Good enough!
Apparently it has the 15 ganes built in but also takes old Mega Drive cartridges.

it's a clone - mine lasted about 5 minutes then it died and within those 5 minutes it wasn't fun enough to warrant me to get a replacement so I simply got a refund
How does the graphics on this clone megadrive look on an LCD, LED, Plasma screen? I ask because flat pannel displays arn't designed to handle the low resolution that these older consoles have. Unless this has an updated higher resolution graphics processor. Otherwise it will probably only look good when run on an old CRT screen?

15 built in games? I picked one of these up at cashies last week for a fiver, and only tried it with a cart plugged in.... Spent some time on road rash then turned it off.
No idea it had games, it'll geta bit more of a hammering now.
i too found the original unit virtually unplayable on my 32' samsung lcd too.
looked reasonably better on the same sized 4:3 crt though.
what do you expect from OLD gear though?
it's like putting a 20gb PATA hard drive in a quad core pc and installing windows 98!!
Would be interesting to find out if these newer versions have some sort of resolution 'upscaling' so to speak.

I haven't done this, but a friend suggested a component/rca cable.
Apparently that works fine for old consoles.

I bought this clone with the built in games last week for the kids.
Looks resonably good on our 32" LCD.
I haven't tried any original cartridges as I don't have any.
Sorry to bump a 2 year old thread, wanted to add a bit of my detailed experience. If this $49 machine is what I think it is (picture link's dead) it's a Blaze Megadrive, and calling it complete trash is putting it nicely.
I got one of these for a family member who had an actual broken Megadrive as a replacement and this clone went bust within a fortnight. When it did work, it ran all of the games slower than they should've been even considering PAL 50hz speeds, and it seemed to do some kind of letterboxing that I don't recall ever happening on the original MD. The manual claims there's a switch on the back for switching it to 60hz (like for US/Japan cartridges), but there isn't any. I tested with Crue Ball, Jungle Strike and Sonic 2, then got fed up with it myself.
Definitely avoid buying. You'll be much better off getting the real thing with at least a composite cable (red/white/yellow), and a flashcart to stick ROMs onto it + any legit cartridges you can find. That may cost more than $50 in the end but this is definitely a case of 'you get what you pay for', and if you pay buggerall you're going to get buggerall. I've heard some stores in Adelaide still have MD stuff in good condition albeit for a pretty penny.
