Default issue with a HP PAVILION DV6000 laptop

just picked up a HP PAVILION DV6000 laptop and noticed there appears to be a lot of stuff on it and not much room left

it came set up ready for use as in windows in stalled (as if just bougth from a shop)??
trouble is in properties it is showing only 15g free of a 100g hd and there are a lot of programmes in the all programmes folder greyed out if you click on tehm message comes up cant use not installed

my question is how do i reactivate them or clean them off the harddrive to free up space with out having to format the drive and reinstall windows.

open to any suggestions help would be appreciated
    cheers

Use total commander in expert mode (hidden files are visible) and check for large hidden files.
