    Question Another RROD Post :(

Well the last few days my xbox has been doing the RROD but then after about 10 mins it works again. My xbox is modded and has a full clear blue faceplate, what you think i should do? Fix it then sell it?

How much will it cost to fix the ROD?

true, I normally would suggest this, but his is heavily customised(no original case) and modded.

Hmm, is there anyway to install the modded firmware without opening the xbox?

I saw on the internet that they used a hair-dryer to heat up the stickers and then they can peel them off and stick them back after. Im going to try fixing one of my 2 xbox rrod by taking it apart and removing all the old thermalpaste, applying new quality paste, then using washers so that the heatsinks clamp better, then let the xbox overheat for 20 mins without the fans attatched, then let it sit, then repeat. What you think? ohh and im getting the code 0020 on my xbox360

I think you should get repaired before you do more damage! Unless you know EXACTLY what his process does to components etc.

I hope it lasts Gigasoftaus but u cant expect bad solder joints to conduct effectively by placing more pressure on a heatsink

thats if its not irreparably damaged from fiddling with it...LOL it does happen, and often!

I've seen a cracked die from the x clamp removal, do it up too tight and voila, one rooted xbox360!
