I have had DM's that have a dodgy tuner with the effect that they won't work with certain LO settings..
eg works fine with 11300 with low BER,
won't work, or high BER with 10700.
If both your DM's show the same fault it's probably not the above.
A quick Google search for "Sharp BS1R8AR428A" reveals that the LNB in question is sold by several e-Bay vendors and is consistently described as an Universal LNB(F). Hence contributing to the current confusion!!
HOWEVER, the Local Oscillator frequency is, in all cases, cited as 10.7 GHz (10700 MHz).
See and
Therefore, for the LNB to operate as intended, you must set the local oscillator frequency in your Dreambox (see below) to the same frequency, i.e. 10700 MHz.
L OF/L: 10700
L OF/H: 10700
Threshold: 10700
If you do this, provided there are no other problems with your installation, you will receive all available transponders on both Optus C1 and Optus D3.
N.B. When installing the LNB(F) on your dish, the cross-polarisation (skew) MUST be set up correctly. For somebody lacking the appropriate equipment, I suggest that this is most easily done on one of the horizontally polarised transponders (tps) in the 11GHz range on Optus D3, where there are no corresponding vertically polarised signals to cause confusion. I suggest 11720 or 11762 (see ).
Adjust the LNB(F) skew for maximum signal and quality, i.e.lowest BER (bit error rate) as indicated by the satellite receiver.

Try a manual scan of 12052V,27800 after setting the oscillator freqs for the LNB in the above post.
If that does not work go to sat find and imput that freq and symbol rate and see if you are getting any signal
