    Default Facbook account hacked

hmmmm .... Got home yesterday and found my Facebook account had been suspended for suspicious activities and then found out that some on had hacked into my account and sent spam to everone in my friends list .... I don't know how this happened cause I always login in through my favorites list .... but I have two account passwords in Norton 360's idenitity safe one Facebook and the other Austech .... So I wonder if that was how ... so far no spamming on my account on Austech .... lets see what happens ....

    .... CAUTION SPAM AHEAD ....

Thats fukbook for you, their are plenty of ways to get hacked on it,a good one is hackers hiding crap in links so its a good idea to copy and paste the link in ya browser not click on them also phishing is another one they often use.

It could be from the applications you use in FB. Some are dodgy.

I wouldn't trust anything made by Nortons, judging on how bad their anti-virus software is.

FB being hacked.... all depends what you mean by hacked.

So many drunk friends of mine, use my lappy to get on FB, then leave... when i open my lappy, they have pages open, all logged in... I could do anything on their behalf at that stage.

Not saying this is what happened to you... but plenty of people log into FB from all kinds of platforms and locations...

The only thing good about FB, is it gives the Police, Sheriff, ATO, and anyone interested a nice running log of your life.

Yeah ocaenboy no chance of friends logging in with my pass I only use my computers to log in .... and it was spam/phishing sacams like ..... WIN A PS3 SLIM .... WANT TO WIN A FREE SHOPPING SPREE .... ETC .... intelliGEORGE cheers but I don't use any of the facebook applications at all .... I'll have to open a thread to rate veiwers top 5 anti-virus picks cause I had the impression that norton was good allround security but im not very well informed .... the identity safe is the only thing I can think of so I might put the new password in there and see if it happens again ....
Lead me not into temptation...I am capable of getting there myself.

great responses there and i agree with all. most importantly get rid of norton anti virus or any other paid A/V put simply they make majority of nasties so you need their product to remove ie: makes them money.... Choose a free A/V avast is my personal choice.
Next facebook is far from safe and if your account was hacked for spam it would mean that you email prob was the source of entry. i suggest you change all passwords regularly. face book is far from safe and identity theft is on increase.

Why anyone would want to post on facebook in the first place is beyond me.
