Default Setting up a small FTP Server

    Hi Guys,

Trying to get a little side project up and going and could do with the advice of some webhosting / development pro's.

I need a site which i can FTP files into, and have people FTP files out of.

It is important that the people can only see certain files / folders and they can only read, not write or modify any of the existing files or folders.

Ive got hosting sorted with CPanel access.

Can someone give me a dummies guide on doing this?

    in your ftp or cpanel
make a folder or so eg. webs in the public_html
than in cpanel go to ftp accounts, make a account name, eg test
    # FTP Username: test@nelsonbaycomputers.net
    # Password: test
    # FTP Server: ftp.nelsonbaycomputers.net
now you can access my \webs folder, but nothing higher.
