Default Igo Primo 1.1 - Green Routing

    Operating System: WinCE 4/5/6
Overview: The current version 1.1 of iGO primo™ follows the intuitiveness and appealing visual design of the previous successful products. I know its VERY early days yet and the objective is just to get the program (Primo 1.1 + skins etc) working BUT when we do, I think that the green function will need some considerable tweaking/sorting out!!!!!

I've got the green version working well and when I set all of the parameters of fuel consumption etc the calcs seemm a way off!!!

For example, I set a fuel consumption of 16l/100klm urban and rual (I tow a van) and plot a route that just happens to be 700klm - so how could that possibly only use 104.3 litres of fuel as green primo predicts. When I went to school, 7 x 16 =112 litres and NOT 104.3 !!!!!!! - If primo could teach the car to do this I'd be stoked!!!!!!

    Some fun ahead methinks

I now have 1.1 with GJ1.12 P1.1 working nicely on Navman S90i from SD card and apparantly doing all the things it should. It has evolved though from iGo8 through Primo to Primo 1.1 by adding the newer files to the existing card replacing their namesakes. I am wondering now if the card has any files and folders not needed. Can anyone list the file and folder names needed for a working 1.1 installation so that I can eliminate any space wasting files I don't need.

BTW the only problem I have detected with this setup to date is a slight flicker in street names on the night skin.

Can you get Primo to auto shutdown on your S90i? It does on my mio moov 300 but not on my Navman S50 and S90i.

I had auto shutdown working on iGo8 but I disabled it because although it shutdown it always crashed on resume. I haven't tried to reinstate it although Primo does successfully shutdown on reaching destination unless I select cancel on the destination dialog box. It restarts fine after that. When I leave the car briefly I give the on/off a short press (as opposed to long press to shut down totally) to shut it down and it restarts automatically when ignition turned on. I have found though that it does not remember a set route in that circumstance. Not sure yet why that happens. Greater minds may offer an answer.

I have just tried to reinstate auto shutdown on power off and it doesn't seem to want to work. It may have something to do with the fact that even with vehicle power connected the Primo 1.1 displays the external power disconected message even though it continues to run on external power. Out of time now but will follow up later. Maybe one of the gurus will offer a suggestion. As always, it will probably only require a tweak of the sys.txt

If you don't want iGO8 not crash on resume after auto shutdown just install to the flash drive instead of the sd card.

I have installed 1.1 to the flash drive and in initial testing it seems to work much more smoothly than from the SD card but it also appears to load more slowly and adjust speed etc a little more slowly, I would have thought the reverse would be true.
I haven't been able to get it to auto shut down when ignition is turned off, maybe someone could remind me of the sys.txt syntax to do it.

It would seem to be a bug, Auto shut down works on my mio moov but not on my navman s series.

Drove from Bundy to Wollongong last week, 1.1 performed exceedingly well ...Except... Lots of speed limit issues but these are more mapping (R17) issues mainly on Pacific Highway where construction has been taking place for years, although completed now construction speed limits still display. The thing that has me stumped though is the time display in Qld it was fine, into NSW and it skipped ahead an hour as if daylight saving. I have attempted to correct the problem including setting DST to manual and it seems that while auto timezone is set it wont fix. I can fix it if I set the timezone to manual, GMT +10.
One thing I don't understand though is the setting in the system.ini which uses the autoindex no. 75. How is that number derived, is it correct?
To borrow a phrase from Pauline Hanson, could someone "Please Explain"
